It’s Sunday morning at 4:57AM. My fiancé, Frankie woke me up…he said he was getting up because he could not sleep and wanted to work on his website! So, okay, I am up…and working on my blog!
Last night was an exciting night for me – I found an awesome website that offers gourmet goodies! Being that I am The Fat Free Gourmet, this touched my very name! Ha-ha, I know, but I was the twenty year-old girl whose favorite pass-time was shopping at kitchen stores. In the 70’s I was a ‘regular’ at one such store, The Tin Pan Galley, located near the Campbell, California cottage I inhabited at the time. While other female post-teeners were spending their disposable income on a new outfit for Saturday night, I was buying the latest kitchen gadget! Call me a ‘kitchen nerd’ and it would be true. I was the only one of my friends that owned a full set of copper pots, and was saving up for a copper and brass espresso machine which to this day I regret not buying. So when I find a website that offers the largest selection of flavor extracts, flavor powders, herbs spices, teas, and flavored lemonades, it is a great Saturday night for me!
The website I discovered is Faerie’s Finest, http://www.faeriesfinest.com/about.html. There are so many exotic gourmet products that my brain went wild imagining aisles of all the goodies that she offers. Visions of new recipes were dancing in my head like sugarplums! Her about page explains that this is a family owned business started by Faerie in 2002 – I like that. They are web-based only, and her husband Christopher is the website creator. Hmmmm…sounds familiar to me! For those of you who do not know this, my fiancé, Frank, created my website: http://www.thefatfreegourmet.com/. Yaaay to the guys for supporting us! You simply must visit her site; there will be something that you will want!
Well my friends, it is getting near the hour of six and I need another cup of coffee. I wonder what flavor Faerie would suggest that I add to my cup of java? I cannot wait to get my order from Faerie’s! I know, I know – kitchen nerd!
